If you’re giving your boudoir photos as a gift, the reveal or gifting of the photos is as fun as the session itself! Here are a few of our favorite tips to make sure the giving of the images is just as magical as your experience was creating them:
Check in with yourself emotionally and mentally. Chances are your feelings may be running high before giving this gift. Take a moment to breathe deeply, notice any emotions that may be living in your body without judgement (excitement, nerves, worry, anticipation, giddiness, glee) and remember no matter what happens you are a BRAVE Boss Babe!
Be sure to gift your photos in private. This is not the type of gift you want to give in front of a large group of your family and friends. Your mothers will thank you.
If you’re comfortable with it, record your significant other’s reaction. You’ll love being able to look back on that memory for years just like you and your partner will love looking at your beautiful album.
Give your partner time to process. If it’s a complete surprise, your partner will likely have a range of emotions (and that is normal!). It can range from shock to intrigue to deep curiosity (which leads me to my next point)...
Make TIME for this! This is a special, intimate moment between you and your partner. Give yourself the time to explore that intimacy, answer their questions, and enjoy this time without being rushed or interrupted.
Enjoy! Your significant other is seeing a side of you that you may not show very often. Enjoy their reaction and the way it makes you feel.
