Let’s face it. Moms never get a break. That goes double for (pardon this colloquial non sequitur) working moms (as if being a mom by itself isn’t a full time job!). That is why I am always over the moon when a mom (“working” or not) find their way into my studio.
I know they need it! They need a chance to hit pause, unwind, and be the center of their own universe for a few precious hours. They need someone to remind them that it is okay - if not desperately important - for them to take time that is just for them. They need to have the tables turned be taken care of from start to finish instead of always being the one to take care of everyone else.
If you are a mom, working mom, or any kind of care-taker I have a feeling this is speaking to you on some level.
There is definitely sound wisdom in the saying “You cannot pour from an empty cup”.
So when Brave Boss Babe Allison, mother of many and professional first responder, I knew she needed her cup filled. Not only did she give and give and give in her home - she did the same in her community. The sacrifices and hours she works on a regular basis left me in absolute awe. What a powerful and determined mama this Brave Boss Babe is!
It had such a good time chatting with her while she was pampered with professional hair and makeup with some of the best hair and makeup artists in Kansas City in my photo studio. She has such a lovely and bright personality. We laughed the whole time!
I really appreciated the warmth and energy she brought into her boudoir session. You could tell she was a little nervous when she first came in, but that quickly faded to reveal a gorgeous and genuine spirit that brought me so much joy to serve.
Creating her photo experience and unlocking her sexy confidence was a no-brainer after that! I loved going through all of the piece she had brought in for wardrobe and helping her construct the perfect collection to get her the most diverse and purposeful collection possible. I wanted to show off her awesome tattoos so we focused a lot on the lingerie choices that would showcase that. I mean - who would want to cover up all of that gorgeous ink?
The photo shoot and then the same day viewing and ordering session FLEW by. I could not believe it when it was time for the session to end. We had such a good time chatting and laughing at all the funny poses I couldn’t believe it was over.
